By studying the structure of each animals, I created a skull upon which to build a face. In designing this arctic-dwelling water genasi, I explored various hair/skin color combinations to create something contrasting but not garish, along with various vitiligo shapes. These four pieces were a labor of love. They were all thrown on the wheel, trimmed, then sanded to smoothness and painted with terra sigillata before being fired. After their first firing, they were individually wrapped in nests of combustible materials before being loaded into an underground pit and set aflame.
