Pit Fire Lineup, 2025
Pit Fire Lineup, 2025

My third year doing a pit fire. These four pieces were a labor of love. They were all thrown on the wheel, trimmed, then sanded to smoothness and painted with terra sigillata before being fired. After their first firing, they were individually wrapped in nests of combustible materials before being loaded into an underground pit and set aflame. The results, as always, are one-of-a-kind chemical reactions that can never be recreated.
